Villa vs City side by side: recent meetings
The head-to-head has swung Villa’s way. They have won four of the last six meetings.
| Date | Result | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| May 24, 2026 | Man City 1-2 Aston Villa | Etihad Stadium |
| Oct 26, 2025 | Aston Villa 1-0 Man City | Villa Park |

Look at the Villa Park column. City have lost on each of their last three visits. Matty Cash settled the most recent one with an early strike. Leon Bailey scored the only goal in December 2023.
City’s wins in this run both came at home. The pattern matters more than any one result.
What each side brings
Aston Villa
– Pro: three straight home wins over City.
– Pro: they won at the Etihad on the final day of last season.
– Con: early kickoffs give a home crowd less time to build.
Manchester City

– Con: they have not won at Villa Park since the run began in December 2023.
– Con: two straight league defeats to Villa.
Team news
Neither club had confirmed injury news when this was checked. Both managers usually speak to the media on the Thursday or Friday before a Saturday game. That is where you will get the real picture. We won’t guess at fitness before then.
Watch the yellow card count. In the Premier League, a player who collects five bookings before the club’s 19th league match serves a one-game ban. By late October, some regular starters are close to that line.
Common myth
A red card in the Champions League or Europa League does not carry into the Premier League. UEFA bans are served in UEFA competitions only.
How to watch
| Region | Broadcaster | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| UK | TNT Sports (expected) | Saturday 12:30 is TNT’s slot under the 2025-29 deal |
| US (English) | NBC, USA Network or Peacock | NBCUniversal holds US rights through 2028 |

Confirm the exact channel against the Premier League’s published broadcast picks during the week. US games are often split between cable and Peacock.
Which option suits you? In the UK, you need TNT Sports, either through a TV package or the Discovery+ app. In the US, Peacock is the simplest single subscription for following every NBC-held Premier League game.
